PLANET Gigabit Media Converter.
When it comes to setting up any network and particularly a fibre network, you need to account for different media types and how to connect them. In this week’s edition, we look at the PLANET Gigabit Media Converter – GT-805A networking device. This networking device makes it possible to connect two dissimilar media types such as a twisted pair with fibre optic cabling. It also provides non-blocking wire-speed performance and great flexibility for a Gigabit Ethernet extension in harsh industrial environments.
The GT-805AT is also compatible with 100Mbps and 1000Mbps SFP transceivers to provide a robust, stable and long-distance connection. It also possesses an integrated power supply source with wide-ranging voltages from 12 to 48V DC or 24V AC.
Product Features
- Complies with IEEE 802.3 10Base-T, IEEE 802.3u 100Base-TX, IEEE 802.3ab 1000Base-T, IEEE 802.3z 1000Base-SX/LX
- TP port supports 10/100/1000Base-T auto-negotiation and auto-MDI/MDI-X
